Red Bull have confirmed that following their official takeover of Minardi on November 1, their new team will be known as Squadra Toro Rosso (Italian for ‘Team Red Bull’).

In addition Red Bull announced that their 2006 driver line-up across both their Formula One teams will be David Coulthard, Neel Jani, Christian Klien, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed.

As to exactly who goes, Coulthard’s Red Bull race seat is the only confirmed position, with either Klien or Liuzzi as his team mate. Whoever loses out is expected to win one of the Toro Rosso race seats, leaving Jani and Speed competing over the other, with the ‘loser’ becoming a test driver for one of the two teams.

Both American Speed and Swiss driver Jani are members of Red Bull's Junior team and both have spent this season competing in the inaugural GP2 series. Speed finished third in the overall standings, Jani seventh.
