Thursday saw Felipe Massa complete his first Ferrari test session since he left the Sauber team at the end of the 2005 season.

Massa, at the wheel of a V8-powered F2004 for the second day in succession, completed another 71 laps of 2006 development work, setting a best time of 1m 13.007s.

As on Wednesday, early fog gave way to clear skies and sunshine, with track temperatures reaching just over 30 degrees Celsius. Ferrari plan to continue testing at the Roman circuit next week, when Massa will be joined by official test driver Luca Badoer.
