Paul Ricard day one - Ferrari lead McLaren

Testing got underway at Paul Ricard on Wednesday, with Ferrari and McLaren sharing the track. Felipe Massa topped the times, with a best lap of 1m 24.027s around the French circuits 1E-SC layout.
Massa worked alongside Ferrari tester Luca Badoer, their programme including tyre testing, development of aerodynamic solutions for the forthcoming North American races, and evaluation of electronics and new mechanical components. Massa ran a total of 76 laps, Badoer 103.
McLaren had Gary Paffett and Kimi Raikkonen at the wheel. Their focus was preparations for the Canadian Grand Prix, including aerodynamic development and set-up work, plus tyre selection with Michelin for Indianapolis. Paffett completed 89 laps, Raikkonen 48.
Testing continues at Paul Ricard until Friday.
